Bryan Chaffee

Principal – Florida, New Jersey, New York, Midwest

Mr. Chaffee has spent over thirty years working in managed healthcare, delivery system development and management, and start-up operations.  He pioneered HMO development in the early 1980’s, built Florida’s first workers’ compensation managed care networks, and has been a principal or founder in practice management, network management and managed care initiatives.  In the early 1980’s, when managed healthcare was enjoying widespread introduction in the group health arena, Bryan developed new staff model HMO’s for HealthAmerica Corporation, then the nation’s largest HMO company with operations in 24 states and nearly half a million prepaid members.  Bryan helped build new HMOs in Baltimore, Baton Rouge, Birmingham, Chicago, Hampton Roads, Little Rock, New Orleans, and Omaha.

Since 1998, Bryan has served as the President of Healthscape, Inc., a hospital advocacy consultancy based in Tampa, FL which is primarily engaged in improving hospitals’ managed care portfolios.  Healthscape also provides managed care services for physicians and ancillary providers.

Healthscape has helped improve the managed care portfolios of:

• For-Profit Hospitals – HMA Corp. with over 40 hospitals in 16 states
• Special Tax District Facilities – Bert Fish Medical Center, New Smyrna Beach, FL

Mr. Chaffee is frequently employed to execute any or all components of a managed care engagement including assessment, strategic planning, contract negotiation, managed care tools, staff training and improvement, and managed care portfolio re-balance.

Sara is a Graduate of the University of South Florida and holds a B.S. in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Marketing and Management. She has 10+ years of Managed Care Experience with expertise in New Market Expansions and Network Development. Her comprehensive knowledge of physician contract negotiations follows the completion of over 1000 provider contracts during her tenure in the industry. It is her strong understanding of CMS and AHCA adequacy requirements that allows her the ability to negotiate the most attractive provider contracts, at favorable rates. Her years of experience on the payor side gives her a unique perspective to the provider side of the industry.

When Sara is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young daughters.

Jeff Rosnick

Senior Associate – FL, GA, & MO

Jeff Rosnick has been working with the Florida payer community as well as the provider community for the past 30 years. He has worked at several HMO’s negotiating both fee for service arrangements with hospital, ancillary, and physicians/PHO networks as well as capitated arrangements with certain physician and ancillary providers both regionally in certain markets as well as statewide for Medicare Advantage HMO/PPO, Commercial HMO, PPO, Traditional products, and Medicaid Managed Care. Jeff also worked closely with providers in education of payer policies and procedures and managing those networks.  Jeff also led a team of ancillary contractors at a large payer to expand their ancillary and hospital-based physician network.

After graduating from Tulane University and then from Florida International University with a Master in Healthcare Administration, Jeff served as an Assistant Hospital Administrator at Clearwater Community Hospital. He then went on to work as a Regional Network Manager at Florida Blue for the Tampa Bay market, Statewide Ancillary Manager at WellCare, Director of Hospital Contracting for Humana (South FL market), Statewide Director of Hospital Contracting at Freedom Health, Statewide Director of Hospital Contracting at Sunshine State Health Plan, and Statewide Director of Hospital Contracting at Prestige Health Choice.
